If you think sex is a small issue, wait till one partner is not enjoying it? Today, sex have died in many homes and the hope of it coming back alive Is very lean. There are certain things that are responsible for the sourness of sex in many homes.

 

1. PERSONAL PREFERENCE: Everybody will not enjoy the doggy, butterfly or any other sexual positions. The fact that you enjoy it from the back does not mean your spouse should enjoy your preference.

 

2. EXCESSIVE USE OF PORNOGRAPHY: Pornography can never be reality, that's a movie, but when it becomes your only idea of great sex, your sex will always be sour. There could be so many cuts, and behind the scenes in the making of one scene which you should never try at home.

 

3. EXCESSIVE ADDICTION TO MASTURBATION: When you can always climax on your own, sexual activity with a partner will hardly mean much to you.

 

4. CULTURAL RESTRICTIONS: Our culture mostly makes it very difficult for women to be very open about sex. Most times a woman might end up just doing sex to please the man and nothing more. The culture makes it seem like any woman who is open about sex is regarded a prostitute

 

5. LAZINESS: Most times, spouses become too lazy to work at their sexual lives. A healthy sex life is not by accident but a high commitment to making it work.

 

UNRESOLVED ISSUES: There can never be any form of meaningful sex when unresolved issues are left lingering all around the home. You must never use sex to resolve issues else those issues will remain unresolved. The rule is, no sex until issues are resolved! You must have resolved any pending issues before you indulge in the sex act

 

 

You must make up your mind to openly discuss sex with your spouse and unitedly make efforts to improve your sex lives. If you are the better sexually, please lovingly help the other until he/she can get it right. And both of you must be willing to learn how to make it better. Thanks

But I feel so proud and honoured that with this life I have been given, I have am amazing opportunity to serve Jesus and let the world know He still reigns.

He was truly iconic at a time Jackie Chan was still in the cradle! Personally, I loved him so much. At a point in his life, his brain began to well continuously and at 32, he died! The whole world grieved at his untimely death. It was a tragic loss to the movie industry. His name is BRUCE LEE! Looking at his picture right now, I am struggling so hard to hold back the tears from my eyes, because I remember vividly how much I loved him. I sincerely desire that God will preserve every organ in your body. The grace of God will not only correct but stem every malfunction that may arise in your body this year end and preserve you for your loved ones!

Till date, he is still regarded as one of the world's greatest iconic rappers even in death. Your heart will literally melt when you hear his ''dear mama'' and ''changes'' lyrics. He redesigned one of the biggest genre of the entertainment industry, which is regarded today as Hip Up. When he reigned in the 90's, big names like Jay-Z and the rest would not come near the stage. He was an unbeatable standard. But in Las Vegas in a drive-by shooting on September 1996, at the very young age of 25, his heart was ripped out by bullets. Maybe by a rival gang who were supposed to have been friends or associates. His name is TUPAC SHAKUR! My desire for you is that, God will not deliver your heart to ravenous birds who pose as friends or associates to be used as a mid night dinner. You are blessed!

                                                     SO WOMEN CHEAT?:

'' If you look at the studies into paternity, even conservative figures show that between eight and 15% of children haven't been fathered by the man who thinks he's the biological parent. So, the biggest difference is that women are much better at keeping their affairs secret". As I read this part of Dr. David Holmes ( a psychologist at Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom) write up on why women cheat, I was motivated to take my research further. I saw another work by Dr. Jonne Lomasky, a United States based psychologist. In fact she made some very solid statement that truly got me thinking, but to tell you the truth, it has never crossed my mind that women(married) could also cheat! Some of her ideas are as follows:

1. Women who do not experience real orgasm during sex may eventually lose interest in the relationship and look else where for good sex. HER ADVICE: Such women should communicate their needs to the husband or, they could seek the help of a sex therapist.

2. Women who have been cheated before feel deceived, hurt, angry, sad and violated and it affects their relationship, mood, behaviour and the ability to trust the man, thus, they want to make such men feel the way they felt. HER ADVICE: The biggest truth is that cheating never solves a problem, communication, assertiveness and increasing passion and romance in the relationship are a much better solution

3. Women deprived of attention, compliments and compassion usually have emotional affairs, which could lead to sex, even though it could start with craving for attention and compassion that has been absent from their marriage.

4. Women who earn their own money, while the husbands earns theirs, may consider leaving an unhappy relationship unlike those who depend on the husband. When a woman has been abused or is being cheated on by her husband, a woman who cannot bear such but has the capacity to pay her bills, could seek comfort, care and attention from other men

I also came across another study by a psychologist, Dr. Bonke Omoteso who said ''some women are nymphomaniac, having abnormally excessive and uncontrollable sexual desire, in which case one man cannot satisfy them, such a woman could cheat on her husband''
Even though it never crossed my mind that married women cheat, I also believe that there is no cause for alarm. I strongly believe that letting Jesus take over the headship of your home could become your biggest marital defence!

                                       HEY, LOVE CAN'T FIX EVERYTHING

This was the very shocking closing remark that ended an article I worked on recently on Time Magazine. It really got me thinking so hard, so I decided to share a few thoughts on this. Any love that blinds you to people's(especially your fiances' or fiancée) irresponsibilities is stupidity. There are going to be times when love should make you walk away from certain persons whose presence in your life is a volcano waiting to explode.

1. Parallel Belief System: Do you think love can fix a guy that does not believe Jesus Christ has anything to offer? If you are dating any girl now who thinks God is one of those things, when you are married, your parlour will certainly become the alter of Baal.

2. Substance Abuser: Anybody that uses substances, alcohol, drugs(marijuana, cocaine etc) is living on mortgaged organs. Love will not stop those substances for coming after his organs in due time. By the time you eventually marry, those organs could even pack up when you need them most

3. Iron Mike Tyson Syndrome: Anybody that is quick with her/his fist, will kill you one day, love not withstanding. So, when you get married to an iron mike Tyson, be rest assured that very soon, your family will certainly come and bury your corpse untimely

4. Night Hawk: You are enjoying all the constant night out now, it's fun, abi? Don't think love will make this person change when you are finally married. You better begin to prepare for very lonely nights with the kids because your kids are always going to fill up his/her gaps

You can never change an adult. If you still want to go ahead to marry, you better begin to pray for grace because you just got yourself A BIG THORN IN THE FLESH!

                                                     MARRIAGE IS NOT HOLLYWOOD

When Hollywood remains your biggest influence, you will wake up at 50 to realise you have been dreaming more than you have been living. Whether you accept it or not, real marriages don't resemble in any way what happens in Hollywood. Marriage is like a barren land, converted to a very beautiful garden by the effort of the gardeners. No matter how beautiful the garden might be, weeds can never be avoided but can only be controlled. Not only will the gardeners invest in weed control, pest is another issue that will also plague the garden. So, the determination of the gardeners to committedly check the activities of weeds and pests is what guarantees the beauty of the garden.
As at today Wednesday according to a report put  together by Family reloaded organisation, more than 30,000 failed marriages were recorded in Badagry area of Lagos State between January and September 2016. I said 30,000 not 300?
Every human being is limited in very many areas of life. Here are my very little tips:

1. Reduce your expectations: Expecting to much from a human being is one recipe for disaster. There will be more things that your spouse will not be able to do compared to those he/she can do. You could expect so much from life and God but not from your spouse because they can only do much

2. Grow yourself: When you make up your mind to grow, many things will not irritate you any more. Your growth will keep you above pettiness in your marriage.

3. Endless teaching practice: Marriage is where you perpetually learn to be a teacher. The beautiful thing about it is that, you become a teacher who continually  is taught how to teach, that is as you teach, you also learn in the process. Your willingness to teach and be taught will help your marriage to be better.

4. The Emotional 1%: You will never ever be able to get the best out of your marriage if you always want to go by how you feel. Doing good in marriage will not always be about feeling good. There are going to be days you will have to do certain good you do not truly feel good about. You will have to apologise when you don't feel like and do many other stuffs you don't feel like.

You must make up your mind to enjoy your marriage. Give your best to your marriage and watch your marriage blossom!

Sometimes I begin to wonder, what do most people truly live for? What forms the values for our lives? Mrs Binuyo Basari Iyabo excreted 82 wraps of cocaine weighing 931grammes which street value is estimated at 10million naira. She was offered 1million naira to do the dirty job. What about if those drugs had burst inside her stomach? What virtue does she think her children would learn from this whole thing? What about if they had caught her in Saudi Arabia?

Most times when people go through hard times, they do not always realise it's the best time to unlock their creative genius instead of becoming a nuisance!

Most times you might never know how much of greatness you carry on the inside until you decide to take up the many challenges life faces you with, with a resolve to grind them to powder. In 1974 Fela Kuti had a serious fall out with his main tenor saxophonist, Igo Chico and in one of the legendary feats of his life, he vowed to replace Igo himself in 24hours. He was not afraid to take up the challenge, he practiced for 17 hours straight, and when the group appeared at the Afro-spot that Friday night, he played all the famous Igo Chico tenor saxophone solos with enough competence to satisfy his loyal audience. Today, that name Igo Chico might not ring a bell at all but Fela Anikulapo Kuti is one name that is still been celebrated even in death. And before he died, he became one of the greatest saxophone maestros from Africa. No man is big enough to devalue or water down your greatness. This probably might be the first time many people would hear of it. It was actually John Maxwell's first book. The book did not make it then to New York Times best sellers neither did the world struggle for his autograph. But he did not stop. Today, even if he writes a stupid joke, it becomes an instant hit. As I read about the courage of two brothers who took up their father's challenge as a tool that spurred them for greatness, I just marvelled. ''Anyone can play a video game but can you create one?'' was the question their father posed to the Turakhia brothers ( Divyank and Bhavin). At age 13 and 15, they began reading computer books and using their computer lab at the select Arya Vidya Mandir School in Mumbai's Bandra district during lunch breaks and free time after school. Directly they said '' When we were kids, we thought we could achieve anything. We still do''. Twenty one years after, with this ''we can do it'' spirit, they built a huge I.T company which they sold to a Chinese consortium. As we speak, they have just debut on the India Rich List and right now, they are rich enough to buy anything money can buy. Do not undermine how far you can go in life. 1. THE EARLY RISER: You must not expect your spouse to start waking up by 6.am if she/he has always been the 8am riser? So, you either prepare most of the things for the next day a night before together with your spouse or do them alone the next morning if it must be that early? No hard feelings!

2. THE CHORE MANAGER: The fact that you have always enjoyed an immaculate hygiene in your house does not mean that your spouse should now become the chore manager? You either encourage him/her to be more committed to house chores, you also take the lead or get a nanny - That means extra cost!

3. THE MONEY SPENDER: Your spouse might not be good with the budget. Take the lead and plan the expenditure while you make allowances for little bits of extravagance. But becoming too miserly could spark a serious war for a long time

4. BABBLING BROOK VS. DEAD SEA: These terms I got from Gary Chapman, and I have grown to love them. One of the most foolish things any couple could do is to accuse a spouse of talking too much. The former is the talker while the latter is the quiet. You either learn to be an active listener or a heavy talker. That settles it!

5. SPIRITUALITY: You can only encourage your spouse to study the bible, pray, fast or even attend church meetings, but doing it by force is disaster. You have to set the pace. Your spouse certainly will not be on the same spiritual plain like you. Continuously encourage, encourage and encourage.

6. THE CHEF: Some spouses can't cook and to tell you the truth, it's not evil! If you can, teach and teach or better still decide to enjoy how she/he does it until there is improvement

7. WILD IN BED: I have seen a lot of people who mistook sexy waist line for sexual activeness. The fact that someone looks very sexy does not mean that person will be very good in bed. The fact that you have been very sexually exposed and active does not mean your spouse should be. Your spouse might have to learn orgasm from you. He/she might not even know what sexual positions might be. So, before you hang his/her legs, be willing to teach, teach and teach!

You should know when your time is up, become a mentor and honourably know when to take the back stage. My Pastor would always say "When a professional football star does not know when to switch to become a coach, that same stadium people paid to watch him would also be where he would pay to watch others coming behind him".

Maximise your everyday opportunity: We have had so many people elected at different times as presidents of America but you and I will agree that most of their names will never ring a tangible bell in our minds?. Similarly, no one will doubt the relevance and impact of Abraham Lincoln?

Empty yourself and pass on the baton: Realising you don't have all the time should inspire you to raise other men. Any man that will invest in things by using people is a fool. You must invest your life into other men. Moses invested his life into Joshua, Elijah invested his into Elisha. Who are you investing your greatness into?

Be secured: Do not be afraid of other peoples shine. Discover fresh talents and give them space to shine. Never you let other peoples shine intimidate you. You will not always be able to hold other people down who are destined for the top.

Re-invent: You might be able to reign for sometime longer if you stick to a plan of continuous improvement. Re inventing yourself is a way of delaying having to fall out all of a sudden

Resign honourably: At 40,you have no business playing football in the professional league. You cannot display the dance steps of Beyoncé when you are already in your late 50's. Retire honourably, you will inspire more people. At a point Mandela resigned from the presidency and he let others take the centre stage. That did not in any way reduce his relevance.

I pray for you today that you will not fail with your life.

In life, I have seen people demystify enigmatic characters, ascribing their successes to all kinds of mystics, which makes the statement true that " any puzzle a black man feel too lazy to unravel, he demystifies". My take is that, most people enjoy unprecedented favours not because they are too special but because they are determined enough to do the very rigorous extra that average people will not do.
A very great example is a very unique character that is not only celebrated but also honoured all over the world, Beyoncé. She is so good in what she does that most people ascribe her greatness to illuminati. But if you are familiar with the bible, you would have seen a place that says in Proverbs 22: 29 " seest thou a man ( woman) diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before mean men". I did a little research on her and I was just blown away. She works out 5 days a week and practices choreography 7 days a week
- 5 times a week, she engages in real work out with her personal trainer
- She does 30 minutes of cardio every morning
- She does 45 minutes of weight lifting daily
- She does about 9 hours of choreography 7 times a week
- She runs every day
- She does yoga daily
HER DIET
- She eats 6 small meals per day
- She must eat breakfast
- She eats lots of vegetables
- She does not eat any refined food
- She does not drink any alcohol

So, you can see why the world will always ascribe her success to all kinds of things?
I learnt certain things from her life:

She is known for one thing- Entertainment: Everything she does is to strengthen just one thing, entertainment. Even though she does other things as side line. She is known for singing and dancing.

Consistent daily routine: Her daily routine is constant. Even when she goes on tour or doing other things, her day is not complete without her routine. If I can see your daily routine, I can predict your future

Discipline: You can tell she is disciplined with her routine from the results she produces? If your discipline radar is not alive, you will hardly go very far with God

No wonder lazy people have a very unique way of explaining away the distinct results of others. You better sit up and do what God has called you to do. Just do your part and leave the world to do the critism, for a wise man said " Critism is the fee a loser pays to a winner". God Bless You

Nelson  Mandela was not buying or selling anything neither did he build great companies that are bringing in so much money today, but with a life well lived, he single handed made Africa into a global monumental wonder. When sound values is constantly been squandered on the alter of what to eat, then there is practically no hope for a nation. Africans have reduced Africa to a continent that has no regard for human institutions. From health to security, to power and to everything, Africa is a capital by-word. We have all sold Africa away. But nemesis is usually a very fair judge. Today, the world has no regards for Africans, because when you consciously damage the institutions in Africa, you puncture the balloon of your status. You can not escape the very demeaning tag of been an African. If you like, run to America and nationalise, the blood you carry remains African. Since we have all collectively messed up the African continent, if ever the next generation will stand a good chance among the committee of thriving nations, we must do the following:

1. We must live in honour: Let every African decide today that no more will they find our hands in events that will consolidate the negative picture the world already have about us. Let us be good specimen and representatives of the African continent. We must practically resist anyone that would want to bring the continent into disrepute in any way.

2. We must demonstrate high level patriotism: Let  every African demonstrate a very high level patriotism at every level. Show your very high level love for Africa, talk about it, demonstrate it, sing about it, anything you can do to let the world know your love for Africa is true

3. We must take responsibility: When we keep looking for who to blame, we will continuously limit how far we can go. The Europeans have left us long time ago. We  need to move on. We know that the military raped us but they have since moved back to the barracks. Let us keep closed every chapter that has since been closed. There is great work to be done.

4. We must patiently unleash our creative and innovative geniuses: Great thinkers will always be at the vanguard of national and even global development. You must believe in our creativity and innovativeness. We have what it takes to advance the course of our continent. Let us not live things to chance.
                 
        With every one doing his own part, I guarantee you that Africa will become a very great continent again.

                                     THE HIGH PRICE FOR FAILURE

You do not fail by chance, failure is a very conscious thing. Some people will still and would have still failed even if the devil were absent. Even though failure is a very difficult status to attain in life, very many people are not too timid to pay the price. Destiny is an idea, it is not a verdict and even if it was a verdict, it can be altered. So, to use destiny as an excuse for your outcome in life is the highest form of foolery. Even though I may not remember how exactly it was said, but what some one said has struck a chord in me "I am a success today, because I did not know it was impossible for it to be so". The flip side of this would be "I am a failure today because I did not know it was impossible for me to be so". This therefore means, even if you were destined for greatness, you could still fail massively if you are willing to pay the price.
I would just point out few of the price you would have to pay:

Trivialise the issue of your choice of a spouse: The life of Whitney Houston became completely crushed because she didn't know that committing herself to Bobby Brown was an ultimate price she would have to pay for failure. Even though she was destined for greatness, she died a huge mess.

Misusing people: Gaddafi made his people into puppets. In Tunisia and Egypt, we had RULERS who felt they could continuously trample on the people. But by the time the ARAB SPRING emerged, it became clear that these RULERS had paid the ultimate price for failure.

Starting out too late: Messi at less than 30 has gotten to the peak of his career. Can you imagine if he were to join the professional league at 40? The quickest way to failure is to keep for later what you should do quickly. The other five foolish virgins went for extra oil very late, no wonder they missed the coming of the bridegroom?

Direct disdain for God: Everyone that displayed their disdain for God Almighty never stood a chance. This is the surest way I know to been a total failure. Everyone that have tried it all were grounded to powder.

No restrain / no discipline: Have sex with anyone and everyone. Buy anything and everything you desire. Eat anything and everything you want. Just do as you please. Do not initiate restrain or discipline and see how quick it is to be a world class super failure? When there are no borders or boundaries in your life, failure is the surest thing that can happen.

I cannot count how many people have joined the failure train all around the world today. So, if its your choice to join them these are some of the things to do, even though there are many more but I can guarantee you, when you do all these, there is certain no way you will not fail. I truly want to wish you ill as you do all this and I would say sincerely, see you on the other side of failure. But the only thing I would like to say is that, you better expect someone else to welcome you when you arrive because CERTAINLY I WILL NOT BE THERE AT ALL!!!

                                       MY MARRIAGE, MY HELL FIRE!!

Great marriages don't happen by miracles but by a solid willingness to make it better. In as much as people get married almost daily, similarly 'divorces' is also becoming a daily routine. Many marriages have become very huge torment for most people and many are looking for the tiniest of excuses to call it quit.
God has helped me to interact with a lot of couples who thought their marriages were HELL FIRE, to see that it could be better. I am happy because they decided to give their marriage a chance.

There is a limit to which God can go in your marriage:

God will not make love to your husband or
wife, neither will He come and cook the meals. When couples are not too willing to learn the art of sex or cooking, then you should expect another hell fire in your home. Great sex is a very vital tool to intimacy. Please learn how to get it done very well, both the man and woman. When physicality is broken, your marriage is at risk. Anointing will never take the place of a very great sex life, plan it and make it enriching. Do not always let it happen by chance all the time. Even those quickies could be done creatively.

Talk about everything that appear like a threat:

You must never be too reserved to talk to your spouse. Talk about your sex life, health, finance, children, fears. In fact, just talk about your doubts, fears. Never you bottle them up. Your marriage is worth all your creative efforts. If the sex was not great tonight, talk about how it could be better, if the food didn't come out well, speak on how it could be better. Just talk.

The place of your spouse:

You have to watch it anytime your spouse is substituted. You cannot marry your mother, sports, job. No other person should take the place of your spouse. Run home to be with your spouse. Nobody has it all together.

A bunch of dirty things:

Forget all those facades you saw when you were dating, nobody is as clean as they appear, in fact anybody that appears too clean could have a lot of dirt in his/her closet. Your marriage becomes your hell fire when you don't prepare your heart for these. The woman might be very lazy with chores but good in business. The man might be poor financially but very supportive. Every human being carries a lot of dirty things into marriage that might go away with time. Some never goes. Some you will endure, while some you will enjoy. Make up your mind, you will enjoy and endure as instance demands

A time to grow or go:

There are certain things you grow through or must go through. But there are other times you just have to call it quit. Even though I will never encourage divorce, the decision is up to you. If every time he beats you up at the slightest provocation and it lands you in the hospital, you sure have a decision to make? If after he raped the house girl, got her pregnant and then deny it blatantly but orders a very dangerous abortion even though she was eight months gone. then you should know when enough is enough?

Above all, you should know when it is God's fault, your fault or the devil's fault. If is God's fault, just wait on God. If it is your fault, work on it but if it is the devil's fault, it is time to fight for your marriage and team up with God to send the devil back to hell. Your marriage will not fail.

Most humans have also devised methods of cutting to size, great things that they come in contact with. I have seen people who joined the staff of potentially great companies but ended up destroying such companies. Many people have entered into relationships and ended up cutting their partners to size. The official coroner's report showed that she had accidentally drowned in the bathtub with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors. The scarcity we have right now in Nigeria is not something that should be a course for alarm because it is self inflicted. No matter how much the United Nations gives to us, after a while we will go back to poverty, because the very system we operate in Nigeria is designed to keep us very poor. I will authoritatively point out certain things that we have to consider very seriously.

OUTRAGEOUS COST OF GOVERNANCE: Nigeria has the second largest presidential fleet in the world, with 15 jets all imported and maintained abroad. The monthly upkeep is nothing less than 1 billion naira. This is an amount most of the states don't make as internally generated revenue. At the beginning of this year, the national assembly budgeted 4.7 billion on SUV's despite their car loans, pool buses and others. Hope you can see our definition of governance?

MONO ECONOMY: Since Nigeria discovered oil in the 70's, all our creative energies shut down. Very soon, oil prices will further crash like G.S.M lines and a barrel would not be worth more than 5 dollars. Nigeria suspended every other very viable part of our economy like human capital development, agriculture e.t,c, today there is hardship in the land.

CONSUMERISM: Most of our would be entrepreneurs who would have solved most of our unemployment problems all have their start up capital in their numerous brands of I phones and Brazilian hairs. Just give a Nigerian man a beautifully well garnished porridge, I guarantee you, he would kiss his future bye-bye.

DAMAGED MINDEDNESS: Have you thought about why there seem to be restiveness in the Niger Delta? We believe that the quickest way to get is to damage. But when there is too many damages, how do we achieve progress? We used to have a national carrier? What happened to our national telecom company? We do not believe in sustaining the life of anything by maintenance. Any nation that does not have the culture of maintaining it's assets will remain poor.

OUTRIGHT THEFT/ SYSTEMIC STEALING: According to Nuhu Ribadu " over 380 billion dollars has been lost to corruption in Nigeria since independence, which would have been enough to replicate Europe with it's development six times in Nigeria". We have about 170 million people in Nigeria. Nigerians living in poverty rose from 17 million in 1980- 112 million in 2010. I know you would not want to know what the figures have risen to in 2016? The largest part of the finances that would have been for making the lives of the people better are stolen by the 109 senators and 369 House of representatives members

The bigger responsibility is not with the government but with you and I. We must start with ourselves, so it becomes easier to do well when we get into government, for you can't give what you don't have

                                       FOOLISH THINGS NIGERIANS DO                                                   

Even though Nigerians are very intelligent people with all kinds of very beautiful qualities that are listless, but I will want to share some very foolish things we do:

Marry a foreigner for residency: I saw a 28 year old Nigerian guy the other day pose with a 61 year old western lady with the caption" the love of my life", I almost could not stop laughing. Why do we enjoy using people? Thank God these people are becoming wiser, they could marry you but residency will certainly not come without you sweating your life out

Leave your Nigerian wife to suffer in Nigeria while you travel abroad to hustle immediately after the wedding: I see many of our ladies suffer so much while their husbands abandon them here to go through the rigours of pregnancy alone. Most times I do not feel for the ladies because they are foolish enough not to know better. Most times the man will come maybe once in two years. But I will tell you, your marriage starts when you eventually begin to live together

Decision to go by land Abroad: Whether you like it or not, it is cheaper, safer, better and neater to go by air abroad. Can't you see the horror that happens on the high sea or do you think going through the Sahara desert is fun? Sometimes I wonder why we are so stupid? Must you go abroad? How many houses did Jesus build, and how many cars did he buy? Materialism is the opium of a sinking generation. Why can't you seek better ways to "hammer''?

Expecting too much from a government: Every government is a reflection of the nature of the people. The best way to see yourself is to look at the government of the day. Can't you sincerely count how many people you have disappointed? Have you kept all your promises? Why do you think a government can solve all your problems in 4-5 years? No matter how sincere a government might be, no government has the capacity to make every citizen happy.

Give up on your country: Your contribution is what makes your country healthy. Great people make up a great nation. When you give up on your country, you incapacitate the potentials of the nation and it will never get better. Most of us Nigerians are too pessimistic, which could probably be the reason we hardly have any good thing to offer


           

THE WILL FOR A BETTER NIGERIA

                                                               MARRIAGE IS WORK
'' To rekindle an old love is a thousand times more sensible and pure than to participate in a scandalous adulterous fling". This lines stuck to me as I read the book by H.B London and Neil B. Wiseman, '' Pastors at risk". your marriage will never work better than you are ready to work at it. The success of your marriage is your responsibility, do not leave it to your spouse.
Having been a member of the marriage committee in the organisation under which I serve, I have had the opportune moment to see many marriages go through turbulence. I have been able to see couples torn apart, let God guide their hearts through the tough route of reconciliation and I have also seen couples who were not willing to even give it a fight but saw going their separate ways a gift from God. In all, I have learnt one very vital lesson, divorce never honours God no matter the reason. In fact, God would desire couples never to consider it as an option but to work through their differences.
I would really love to share a few thoughts with us to ponder:

1. LEAVE AND CLEAVE: In Mark 10:6, Jesus was very specific to the man when he told him to leave his father and mother and cleave ( stick, adhere, cohere, cling, to adhere firmly and closely or loyally and unwaveringly) to his wife. How come this was not to the woman but to the man? The fact remains that it happens naturally for the woman, she takes up the man's name and it's not very difficult to cleave but for the man, once he marries a lady, cleaving becomes a challenge. Work will always want to suck all the space. But you must battle to cleave no matter what.

2. NO DEFINED PATH: I am yet to see any marriage with a defined path. Very unpredictable things happen in all marriages. You might experience delay in conception. There could be sickness, financial crunch, children experiencing health challenges. Most times, these things will not announce it's arrival. Even though we have modified it to be " for better, for richer", it does not change the fact that worse things could happen in marriage. Oyedepo would organise powerful meetings round the world where people would get healed. But for about 15years, the wife had an incurable ailment. They both did not give up on each other but they stayed and fought it together. Today, the marriage is stronger.

3. WHEN THE FEELING DIES: You will not always feel good about your spouse. There are times you will have great doubt and serious resentment in your heart. There are times when how you feel will not sustain your marriage but what you decide. Resolve your issues, if possible get help. No unresolved issues goes away with time. There were times in my marriage my wife would question my every move, challenge my every will and resist my every intention. At this point, loving my wife became so difficult but what saw me through such times was the willingness to make my marriage work.

4. MAXIMISING SEASONS: Certain things will not go by prayers or fight but by age. As you grow older certain things will naturally go. There was a time in my marriage I felt my wife was stingy and didn't want to support the house financially. As I grew older, I got to understand I was wrong. My wife only wanted to be sure I was not lazy and wanting to feed off a woman. There are certain things in marriage you will not always enjoy but your courage to endure such becomes your biggest victory. Seasons are not permanent, they come to pass.

5. VULNERABLENESS: Every marriage is a target for the devil. The devil wants to destroy your marriage by all means. Until your marriage is destroyed, the devil will not stop. This is why you need a level of spirituality to be able to check mate the activities of wicked spirits. You must engage the force of prayers, fasting and studying of God's word

Your marriage is worth fighting for. When you are married, you must decide to stay married. Your marriage will not fail.

CORRECTING THE DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS OF ''NIGERIANESS''

Nigeria has become a name synonymous with almost everything that is bad or not working, like immigration fraudulence, internet scam, irresponsible and insensitive system of governance, wastefulness, institutional decay, systemic corruption and so many other unutterable anomalies.

There are certain defective components that have become part of us that we must begin to do away with:

UNINTELLIGENT AND KNOWLEDGELESS IMITATION: Nigerians are so carried away by the what without having to think about the why. At the time we started seeing American entertainers engage in ice bucket challenge, many of us also started doing it without recourse to it's relevance to our lives. Even though we do not have any background understanding of the American system of governance, we have adopted it without the understanding of the total essence of it. Our own is " as long as America is doing it, then it's good for us''

THE "TO HELL WITH NIGERIA'' SYNDROME: Because we hardly are generational in our thinking, that was why we could begin to share funds needed to equip our military for personal gains. We are not concerned if workers are not paid but as our vacation in Hawaii is not disturbed, we are okay. This is why a political office holder can go abroad on tax payers money to treat malaria, even though our health sector is dead.

POLITPRENEUR: We don't mind killing, maiming or doing anything devious, as long as we can get a political position, we are okay. In Nigeria today, politics is not service to the people but a huge business venture where the people are exploited for profit

THE CHARITY PROJECT CONSCIOUSNESS: Most Nigerians believe that we are the most disadvantaged on earth and therefore begging has become a norm. We go about even as a nation begging for arms all around the world even if we hardly give. So, most of the charity organisations in the world have all taken Nigeria for what it is, a huge charity project

WHATSOEVER IS NIGERIAN CAN ONLY BE BEST AT BEING A COUNTERFEIT: This is why we will do everything to get the services of a foreign coach, even if we have to use the money we don't have, while indigenous coaches can go to hell. Even though it's human waste, as long as it's from 'abroad', it's a huge asset.

These are some very destructive mind sets we must begin to correct. Nigeria will never be taken seriously by the world, until every Nigerian make rebranding Nigeria a major priority. Nigeria can become very great with you in it
