CHARACTER: THE FOUNDATIONAL STRENGTH FOR AN IMPACTFUL
                                                           LIVING

Jonas Junis, a 22 year old boxer from Namibia who was the country's flag bearer during the opening ceremony ( at the Rio Olympic) was accused by a maid of grabbing her, kissing her forcefully, and then offering her money to have sexual relations with him. Olympic officials confirmed on Monday that Junis was arrested. Brazilian law considers any non consensual sexual act as rape. If convicted, Junis could face six to ten years in Prison.
From 2008 - 2011, Dominique Strauss Khahn took part in a series of 12 sex parties in three countries. And before his arrest in New York in May 2011. he attempted raping a hotel chambermaid. This is the same man that rose to becoming the president of the IMF and making up to 2.4 million pounds annually from his international consulting business
Today, the name Lance Armstrong who was one of the greatest cyclist in the world has become a by word because he got himself into a very huge mess of very hard enhancement drugs. He was stripped of all his very many achievements in one day. No wonder Martin Luther says, the true worth of a man is not in the colour of his skin but in the content of his character. When character is lost, a man';s world must come crashing down.

Every man chooses to be a gift or a curse to his generation: Singapore would have remained one of the very dark world if somebody like Lee Khuan Yew did not make up his mind to cause an unrivalled transformation. But look at how Idi Amin of Uganda, Charles Taylor of Liberia so raped their countries?

Every nation is as good as it's people: Most Americans would rather die than have gun banned but there is no way you can think or talk about serial killing without America taking the front stage. When a people don't grow, it delays the progress of the nation.

Character is the frame that holds the human composition together: Have you wondered why Mike Tyson quickly faded away from the hall of fame? Why do you think Donald Trump is always having to eat his words? All of a sudden, Bill Cosby became a huge mess. When you develop everything else apart from character, you will make a very big wreck of yourself.

Decide that your song when you are gone will be beautiful: Today, each time Nigerians remember Abacha, what comes to mind is pain and horror. But we can't stop wishing we had people like Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa come live with us again.

I will borrow from Bill Hybels to say '' When a leader gets better, everyone wins''.
